The Dalek Invasion of Christmas

'Twas the day before Christmas, 

And all through the room, 

Not a creature was stirring,

No spaceships went boom.

The Daleks were set 

On the limbs with care,

In the hope that the Doctor, 

Soon would be there.

Then unto my eyes 
Such a Dalek appeared,

It climbed to the top, 
And a clamor was heard.

A fight ensued 
Like few humans have seen,

The tree glowed with laser blasts, 

Blue and yellow, red and green.

"Exterminate, Exterminate, 

Exterminate all,"

Their voices rang out; 

They filled the hall.

By nightfall the battle

Had been put to rest,

And silence descended,

For they all were the best.
