Electricity and gas lines are routed through here, and over fifty trains pass by each day.
That's in addition to all the cars.
Salt: Why do the rocks slant up at such steep angles?
Pepper: Two mountain ranges overlap here: the San Gabriels and the San Bernardinos.
Salt: Ah, I can here a low grinding and clashing noise. That must be due to the tectonic plates rubbing together deep beneath us in the Earth's crust.
Pepper: No, I think that rumbling is coming from Master and Mistress' stomachs.
Salt: Ooh, yippee! That means we'll stop at McDonald's for hot fudge sundaes!
Pepper: Most likely, given the suggestive shapes of these sandstone formations.
But really, Salt, please. Daleks do not say yippie!
Salt: I remember a certain Dalek expressing a similar sentiment during
his first ride aboard a SR-71 Blackbird!
Pepper: That was completely different.
Salt: Oh really? How so?
