Kill And Cure: Il Lupo 2.0 Review

In Kill And Cure: Il Lupo 2.0, Charlie Mortimer suffers from a curse. In battling a werewolf, he became one. Asthma, hay fever, and panic attacks once afflicted him. Now, Charlie boasts an impressive physique and is never afraid. The more frightening the circumstances, the bolder he becomes. As a lycanthrope, Charlie may never die. His only fear is that he might kill someone. An amulet prevents the beast from emerging, yet it won't work during a full moon. Then, the beast escapes and kills anything or anyone it finds.

Nicholas Frobisher wants to help his best friend. But he's just lost his father. Nicholas had to take over the family business when his mother died ten years ago. Although he suffered too, Nicholas has excelled as President and C.E.O. of the J. Frobisher Coffee Company. Guilt over his father's death awakens the long-buried mourning for his mother. Compounded with his desire to help Charlie, Nicholas carries a heavy load. Although he knows it's a crutch, alcohol helps him cope. But alcohol has its dangers.

Ernest Wainwright has served his godson Nicholas as a mentor and friend. He's an academic who introduces Nicholas and Charlie to Maverick Mitchell. The American studied at Oxford and now works at the British Museum. Schooled in European lore, Maverick has extensive knowledge about vampires. If Charlie can convince a vampire to share its blood with him, both ancient curses may cancel out. Maverick suggests where Charlie can find a vampire. But getting a vampire to cooperate with Charlie’s wishes could prove deadly.

In Kill And Cure: Il Lupo 2.0, Charlie must give up immortality or risk killing others. Nicholas’ battle with alcohol will endanger everything he's worked so hard for. Ernest will expose a secret that shattered his life, and Maverick will discover the perils of following his heart.

Gregory Alexander Sharp's novel ponders grief, the forces that rage inside us, and what it means to be human. It takes readers on a tour of London's throbbing nightclubs, Italy's picturesque Amalfi coast, and Scotland's Cairngorms National Park. It's a slow ride, rich in dialogue, explanations, misadventures, and unexpected consequences. Danger lurks throughout, threatening characters and pitting them against each other before extending its claws to slash and grasp readers' hearts with a brutal and thrilling climax.
