A Message from Marvel Studios Founder
Hello! This is David Maisel and I’m so excited to invite you all to be a part of this amazing Ekos journey. We’re just two weeks away from the launch of Ekos Volume 1, on Tuesday Sept 17 at 9am PST on Kickstarter.
As you might already know, Ekos is a brand new comic and entertainment universe inspired by the art and creations of legends Michael Turner and Geoff Johns. It is the first new comic universe that I'm producing since founding Marvel Studios, and I feel the same excitement that we all felt when launching our first Marvel Studios film, Iron Man.
In addition to being a huge Marvel fan, I'm also a huge Michael Turner fan and have been collecting his art for over 15 years. We’ve worked very hard to create a story and universe that’s differentiated from other entertainment worlds and that is uniquely entertaining and relevant for today’s world. In addition, we’re very excited about bringing together many of Michael Turner’s beloved creations for the first time, as well as introducing our new superstar Grell and his special powers. I’m also so honored to have the support of superstars from around the industry including Geoff Johns, Joe Quesada, David Mack, Alex Ross, J Scott Campbell, and more, in addition to the amazing team at Aspen Comics.
