Back in the 1980s, my pastor's wife asked me to write a puppet skit for a Christmas program. Strangely, she took offense at my retelling of Joseph and Mary riding motorcycles to Bethlehem! (I believe the term she used was "sacrilegious.") At the time, I was surprised. I didn't intend any offense. I merely wanted to tell a story that would entertain and inspire the children. 

 

But then, I was young. And naïve. I'm no longer be the former, and I'll probably never latter. 

 

I only saw one issue of Second Coming: Trinity, but I enjoyed it so much I reviewed it for Comic Book Dispatch. Here's another fun tale our continuing fascination with the Son of God (and the Toxic Avenger):
