Hawkmoon: The Mad God’s Amulet #2 Cover Preview

Cover A: Claudia Caranfa

The Granbretan Empire stole his future. Then, it made him its slave. A black jewel in his forehead lets Baron Meliadus see everything Dorian Hawkmoon does. And if Meliadus doesn’t like what he sees, the touch of a button can bring Hawkmoon pain, madness, or death.

Baron Meliadus sent the former Duke to steal Yisselda from her father. But after tangling with Meliadus, Count Brass trusted no one. His longtime friend, Councilor Bowgentle, temporarily freed Hawkmoon from Meliadus’ control. In return, Hawkmoon helped Brass’s forces turn back the Granbretan invaders.

Now, Duke Dorian Hawkmoon seeks a future with Yisselda in Count Brass’s kingdom of the Kamarg. So, he heads east in search of a sorcerer to free him from the black jewel’s control. Instead, he finds Yisselda’s amulet among corpses and destruction, a city from another plane of existence, and a knight who has haunted his dreams. Can Hawkmoon defeat the Granbretan soldiers he finds in the city of Soryandum? And why did he find Yisselda’s amulet far from the Kamarg, in a town recently sacked by the followers of a mad god?

Hawkmoon: The Mad God’s Amulet #1 Cover Preview

Cover A: Claudia Caranfa

Duke Dorian Hawkmoon had rallied his troops. He had swept through the Granbretan Empire's invading army. But when Baron Meliadus held a sword to his father's throat, Dorian Hawkmoon surrendered. As the former Duke of Köln, Baron Meliadus thought Hawkmoon could be his pawn. He sent Hawkmoon to abduct Yisselda and force Count Brass to surrender his province. Instead, Hawkmoon fought to repulse Meliadus' invading army.

Hawkmoon didn't save the Kamarg alone. Nor could he have defied Baron Meliadus' control without Councilor Bowgentle's help. But few people understand the lost arts and sciences of their world. Bowgentle's use of Magience bought Hawkmoon breathing space. But to break free of Meliadus' influence before he can fry his mind, Hawkmoon must find someone with a greater understanding of the stone embedded in his skull.

Can Dorian Hawkmoon find the sorcerer Malagigi before Maliadus breaks through Councilor Bowgentle's protection? And where must Hawkmoon travel to free his mind?
