After Batman rescues him from the fiery coroner's lab, Commissioner Gordon springs Garfield Lynns from Blackgate Prison. "Firefly" tells Gordon to disregard the fire that nearly killed him. It was merely opportunistic, and not part of the Child of Fire's plan.
Batman believes that Dr Serieka must be involved in the fires threatening to consume Gotham, and he's right. But someone else is starting the blazes. And for their next inferno, they plan to let the fire decide. Will the flames consume the Child of Fire? Or will they devour Dr Serieka?
