While a visit to a Metropolis hospital gave Commander Lane a daughter, a visit to a hospital in Smallville cost Jordan Kent a brother. While Jordan had used his abilities to make life on the Kent farm better, he had refused Jonathan's request to share Kryptonian technology with neighboring farms. But Jonathan's death changes him. He decides that his adoptive brother was right. Whatever restrictions precluded him from helping other worlds died along with Krypton.
