Movies, Action Figures & Publishers Storm the Exhibit Hall at SDCC

The Marvel booth had a big display, but this was their centerpiece. By the way, I've heard a rumor that there is a new Fantastic Four film coming out soon. Anyone else heard about that?

Sadly, I haven't heard about any forthcoming Power Rangers movies. Still, Boom! Studios had a great selection of Power Rangers action figures!

They also had the books and comics I love! Psst! I think I might have seen actress Amy Jo Johnson there. If you'd like some comics signed by the original Pink Ranger, you might be in luck!

Ghost Machine publishes a lot of great titles through Image Comics. I've reviewed Rook, Geiger, Redcoat, Hyde Street, Hornsby & Halo, and the Rocketfellers. All recommended! But they've got even more terrific titles to check out!

I didn't see copies of Tower Of Shadows and Mickey Mouse and the Amazing Lost Ocean, but Fantagraphics had lots of books and comics to peruse. Maybe they'll send me a few more to check out someday!

Some of the publishers, like IDW, had more linear booths. Image joined the trend with a wide but narrow booth. So much to see!

I don't know if Dark Horse had the largest booth among the publishers, but it seemed the most stately. Here's the first half, which had lots of room for signings.

Here's the second half of the Dark Horse booth. You could check out all the statues and figurines, and purchase books and comics there.

When I saw Tron in 1982, it was a cool movie. I enjoyed it. But they made lots of cool movies back then (as they do today). Then I started playing Tron for a quarter in the arcade. That game was a lot of fun! Who knew that forty-three years later I could sit on a Light Cycle, and look forward to a third movie in the franchise? Is life amazing or what?

Thanks to San Diego Comic-Con for allowing me to share the wonders of the exhibit hall with you!
